Kristen Dunn is a Jewish American poet and is the author of two full-length poetry collections, Leaves to Stay (Cyberwit.net, 2020) and Sun in My Eyes (Cyberwit.net, 2023). Her poem, “Not of Muscle,” won the first place prize for the President’s Award for Poetry by Midwestern State University Press. Her work has appeared in many literary journals such as The Argyle Literary Magazine, The Write Launch, and Voices. She was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois which is where she began her career as a spoken word poet. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Loyola University Chicago where she graduated cum laude with her degree in English, creative writing, and philosophy. She earned her MFA in writing from the University of San Francisco. She earned a certificate in English poetry from University College London.
Kristen Dunn’s preferred name is her Hebrew name, Kelilah.
